Genese Music Competition
Gambrills, MD, January 17, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Genese Music and Entertainment will be involved with the13th Annual Black Heritage, which will showcase Entertainers from the Baltimore, and Washington Area who will compete for the $500.00 cash prize. Possibly a record deal with Genese Music and Entertainment.
What: 13th Annual Black Heritage Art Show, the largest celebratory Art event held in the Mid-Atlantic region during Black History month. General Admission is $5.00, children under 13 admitted free when accompanied by a paying adult
When: Friday, February 15, 2008 through Sunday, February 17, 2008
Where: Baltimore Convention, Center 1 W. Pratt Street Baltimore, MD. 21201
Details: Friday, February 15th, 11 a.m. the show will officially open to the public. Artist and Craftsman from across the country and of international acclaim will participate, including Buchi UpJohn. WEAA sponsored Jazz Soiree will celebrate the opening of the art show at 7 p.m. Sway to the smooth sounds of jazz; enjoy complimentary wine courtesy of E & J Gallo Wines. Participate in the silent art auction; portions of the proceeds will benefit the African American Visual Arts Association (AAVA) scholarship fund. Saturday, February 16th, show opens at 11:00 a.m. meet and greet actor, Jermaine Crawford of HBO’s The Wire and gospel recording artist, David Chance, formerly of Ruff Endz. There will be live entertainment and life empowering seminars throughout the day until 7p.m. Unique art and crafts are available for purchase. Sunday, February 17th, musical contestants will compete in the Artist Spotlight Competition, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. winner will receive $500.00 and an opportunity to acquire a recording contract under Genese Musical and Entertainment Group. Local gospel groups will perform throughout the day. 13th Annual Black Heritage Art Show officially closes at 7 p.m.
