Method Lights Launches the Next Evolution in Picture Lights, Changing How We See Art
New patented technology from Method Lights provides museum quality picture and artwork lighting for the home and office, that's affordable and easy to install. The products are wireless and ceiling mounted with the ability to dim, adjust for color temperature and beam diameter, ensuring an even and full coverage.
Knoxville, TN, June 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Method Lights announced today the unveiling of it’s patented ML-200, ML-Direct and ML-EZ Charger Kit, revolutionizing and elevating the way people see their artwork. For the first time, consumers and businesses will be able to:
· Light their artwork from the ceiling without wiring
· Control the color temperature
· Adjust the brightness and
· Determine the correct light beam diameter to ensure even, full coverage of light...Features that most picture lights should do, but cannot.
“Ensure the light is not too cold, is dimmable, has an adjustable beam width and can accommodate a high CRI 2700K color temperature, as described in Sotheby’s Artwork Lighting Tips.” Method Lights’ patented LED products allow consumers to control the color temp from 2700 degrees Kelvin (warm) to 7000 Kelvin (cool), providing art lovers the ability to bring out the true color of their art. “Based on our research, the 2700K to 3500K range is true in most cases when looking at a large average of paintings. However, if you look at many maritime or winter paintings (or any painting that has a lot of white and blue in it) you will find that the lower (warmer) color temperatures make them look dingy and yellowed. Additionally, when you take into account competing light from incandescents or warm light sources, the higher (cooler) temperature range is necessary to balance this,” said Bart Watkins, Creator and CEO of Method Lights.
“I had a string of requests from various customers over the past decade asking for wireless, quality ceiling mounted lights for their artwork. After much research, I could not find any that I felt comfortable recommending, so I created Method Lights to develop innovative products that were missing in the marketplace,” said Mr. Watkins. With over 26 years experience lighting artwork, Mr. Watkins recognized that creating a light for artwork that could be adjusted for light temperature, brightness and beam diameter was critical.
The lighting products come with an infrared remote control which can be used on many different lights to easily program each one to the exact color temperature and light intensity desired when turned on from a wall switch; perfect for residential and corporate applications. The ML-200 is a ceiling mounted, battery-operated (rechargeable) LED picture/art light with remote that easily installs in minutes. In the energy saving mode, the ML-200 can provide up to 250 hours of light and the ML-EZ Charging Kit allows the ML200 to be charged without ever taking it off the ceiling (reaching ceilings up to 15’ high). The ML-Direct screws directly into any standard lighting fixture, such as a recessed ceiling light. The articulating light head can be manually adjusted to point in almost any direction. Method Lights’ LEDs provide over 50,000 hours of lamp life while producing very little heat and almost no UV radiation.
