The Scientology Information Center Hosts Tour of the Historic Fort Harrison and Community Centers for Local Travel Club

On June 21st, 2016 the travel club of a local retirement community attended a special luncheon including a tour of the Historic Fort Harrison. The tour was followed by a visit to the Scientology Information Center and the humanitarian organization centers supported by the Church of Scientology. These centers address human rights education, drug prevention, and common sense morals.

Clearwater, FL, June 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The tour, booked in late February, filled up within a month of its announcement to the travel club and had a waiting list of club members interested in joining the tour if the original confirmed guests could not make it.

The Historic Fort Harrison, built in 1926, is one of the oldest buildings in Clearwater and a well-loved building filled with memories and history for those native to the area who attended their social gatherings, proms, and special events. This week, new memories and friendships were created for 33 members of a local travel club.

“Lunch in the restaurant was like a dream! The service, the ambiance and the food were amazing – and the Fort Harrison’s beauty was breathtaking. I never knew it was so beautiful inside,” stated Cecile a tour attendee.

“You haven’t seen anything yet! Wait til you see the community centers – you’ll be amazed what they are doing in the community and what assistance they have to offer,” stated Marilyn, tour co-organizer who visited the centers last year. “The centers are a perfect way for people to see what programs the Church supports and what their members are involved with in the local area and around the world!”

The tour members presented a small donation to the Church for its support and help in the community which was presented to Amber Skjelset, tour hostess and Manager of the Scientology Information Center. The donation was rededicated to the Martin Luther King Jr. Coalition Community Center which is hosting an art and music summer camp for children. The donation will assist families which do not have the resources to allow their children to take part in the camp.

The Scientology Information Center and the social betterment community Centers opens in Clearwater on July 11th, 2016, adding a local chapter to the international programs helping with societal problems. These centers, seven in all, are open to the public from 10am-10pm daily.
