38th Annual Neighborhood-Wide Garage Sale to be Held July 30-31 in Lake Forest

Lake Forest, CA, June 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- For the 38th year in a row, REALTOR®-Sales Associate Brenda Flick of the Mission Viejo office of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties is sponsoring the Sunwood Street Faire, a neighborhood-wide garage sale July 30-31 in the Lake Forest neighborhood of Sunwood.

“This is a huge garage sale, and shoppers come from all over, even out-of-state,” Flick said. “There usually are over 100 houses in the neighborhood that participate, many with multiple sellers.”

“Brenda’s sale has been so popular that it has been featured on many prominent TV stations and even on ‘Good Morning America,’” Branch Manager Mike Bianchi said. “She usually starts getting calls and emails from shoppers in March and April asking for information. Brenda founded this event and has sponsored it ever since. It’s just one example of how devoted she is to the neighborhood she calls home.”

An endless array of items will be for sale, from toys and clothing to antiques, cars and boats. Adding to the street fair experience, some homeowners sell hot dogs, egg rolls, cookies, coffee, and cold drinks. One homeowner’s egg rolls have become so famous, Flick said, that although she typically makes over 2,000 of them to sell at the event, she usually runs out before noon.

“The residents of Sunwood are what make this unique,” Flick said. “The tract only has 237 homes but the sale averages over 150 sellers. Saturday is the biggest day, so people who are planning on attending should plan to arrive early, park in the surrounding neighborhoods, and wear comfortable shoes.”

Sunwood is between El Toro Road and Cherry Avenue, and between Trabuco Road and Toledo Way. The main entrances are at Serrano Road and/or Toledo Way, both off El Toro Road.
