Northwest Christian Church to Reach New Families with the Addition of a Certified Special Needs Children’s Ministry
Acworth, GA, July 05, 2016 --(PR.com)-- As part of its long term vision to connect the local community to Christ, Northwest Christian Church announced today that it will launch a new ministry for Special Needs Children in early October called “UNlimited.” It will be part of NWCC’s current KidsTown children’s program and construction of the new area, which includes a special “sensory room” and enhanced security is now underway.
Lead Pastor Jay Rice states, “This will be a welcome addition to the families in our community with special needs children. We were finding that 90% of our new visitors with special needs kids were not returning for lack of facilities and programming for their children. It’s something that we realized was necessary to be able to minister to these families.”
“This will be an incredible new tool for us to be able to share God’s love with these special families,” added Family Life Pastor Robbie Kubr. “Special Needs Certification training for our employees and volunteers begins this month and will be completed in time for our launch in October.”
Responding to Northwest’s Facebook post for this new addition, member Michelle Rhodes writes “This melts my heart! I have never heard of a church having a special needs ministry. Thank you!”
