Democratic US Senate Candidate De La Fuente to Attend Temple Terrace 4th of July Event
Tampa, FL, July 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Temple Terrace will be hosting its annual 4th of July Parade and Fireworks on Monday. The event’s Grand Marshall is Craig Latimer, Supervisor of Elections, and in keeping with that theme, current Democratic candidate for US Senate and former presidential candidate “Rocky” Roque De La Fuente will be on hand.
De La Fuente, who recently completed the entire Democratic presidential primary cycle, is a resident of Orlando, Florida. He is believed to have amassed the largest number of signatures in history in support of his presidential candidacy as he sought ballot access predominantly by petition. Now, he is bringing that same grassroots style of campaigning to his home state of Florida.
De La Fuente is a big fan of the 4th of July and even joined the Temple Terrace Parade as a Patron Sponsor. “As a first generation America, I particularly enjoy Independence Day celebrations,” said De La Fuente. “Securing our independence was the first step toward crafting the most unique form of government the world had ever known; a government of the People, by the People, and for the People.”
He is scheduled to attend multiple events around the state this weekend but is spending the 4th of July with friends in the Tampa area. De La Fuente says he loves the coastal area and he backs that up with strong positions on the environment.
The Temple Terrace 4th of July Parade begins at 10:00 A.M. Evening festivities run from 6:00-9:00 P.M. and feature great food and music. Then, the fireworks display caps off the celebration beginning at 9:15 P.M.
