The company was able to increase its turnover by over 10 percent in comparison to the previous year and carried out important strategic organisational adjustments: in addition to its entry into the US market with a new location in Jacksonville (Florida) that has, since the spring, offered even greater flexibility when providing support over a range of different time zones, flexword has also made massive investments in the areas of technology and IT. Goranka Miš-Čak, the founder and Managing Director of flexword said: “In accordance with our commitment to providing high quality without compromise, we not only want to be able to provide first-class translations around the clock, we also want to set new standards in the areas of software, hardware and technical equipment.” flexword is planning to systematically continue its successful path in the second half of the year, and to also continue to strengthen its teams at its locations in Germany, Great Britain and Serbia. In the medium term, ten additional Project Managers in Translation Services are to be employed at its locations in Mannheim, London and Jacksonville.

The most important step strategically in the first months was the entrance into the market in the USA, as it enables flexword to support both US clients and the US locations of European companies directly on site. The team in the heart of the US economic hub in Florida works hand in hand together with the team in the company headquarters in Mannheim, Germany. Major investments for quality without compromise
That success and superior quality can only be obtained by using highly qualified translators and proofreaders, as well as a corresponding level of high quality equipment has always been a key part of flexword’s company philosophy. With this concept, flexword has already impressed more than 1,000 clients from a number of different areas of industry, from pharmaceuticals to the automobile industry, as a highly renowned language service provider. To be able to consistently maintain its standards of quality, flexword has once again carried out large upgrades, which include massive extensions of software licenses, investments in data and transmission security and in innovative filters and plug-ins as well as investments in hardware and in the technical equipment for new training systems. Another area of focus was the broadly-based assessment procedures for the development of core translator teams in the specialist areas of pharmaceuticals, medical technology and law, the specialist area that is currently growing the fastest at flexword. An additional highlight at the headquarters in Mannheim: the introduction of the fastest dedicated broadband line available in the entire area. Approximately 250 metres of new fibre optic cable was laid by the Deutsche Telekom communications company due to a request from flexword, and this has enabled even faster and more efficient processing of translation projects.

Ambitious plans for the second half of 2016
flexword has also set ambitious objectives for the second half of the year. The location in Serbia is to be developed with new office areas and additional employees. The company is also planning to further increase its core team to push forwards its expansion in Germany, the USA and Great Britain. Goranka Miš-Čak stated “We are sure that we will be able to continue unabated with our successes in 2016 and we will once again be significantly increasing our numbers of personnel.” flexword‘s expansion drive is however nowhere near to being complete. The company is also planning to expand its team in Jacksonville to around ten members of staff within the next two years.
