Matt Fecteau for State Senate
Matt Fecteau of Pawtucket, Rhode Island is Challenging Jamie Doyle for the State Senate Seat - District 8.
Pawtucket, RI, July 09, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The following statement has been made by Matt Fecteau:
"I am challenging Senator Jamie Doyle for the district eight Senate seat. As a veteran and a Democrat, I have concerns about our representation.
"Pawtucket has been my home for nearly three decades with the exception of my military service. I am not related to anyone famous. My mother, Marion, and father, Ray, were not wealthy people, but raised me to do the right thing no matter the circumstances.
"I contrast with Senator Doyle on several issues. I oppose the 38 Studios deal, and oppose the toll plan. These deals were not in Pawtucket’s best interest. Also, it should be noted, my opponent did almost nothing to prevent the relocation of the PawSox.
"Some of my ideas are as follows: 1) term limits, 2) tax exemptions for veterans, 3) stricter campaign expenditures limits, 4) a state holiday for elections, 5) a line item veto, 6) a ban on legislative grants, and 7) tuition waivers for veterans.
"More than ever, I believe in our community, but need your help this September. I look forward to meeting you in person in the very near future. In the meantime, please feel free to call my cell phone 401-267-2218 or email me at Matthew.Fecteau@gmail.com. My campaign email is: VoteMattPawtucket@gmail.com. My campaign website is also up and running: VoteMattPawtucket.com"
