HIREDTexas Elects New Officers to Lead the Organization
HIREDTexas, a nonprofit organization which helps job seekers looking for career opportunities in Central Texas, has elected new board members and officers for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The group meets weekly in Round Rock and offers free computer training and networking opportunities within smaller groups.
Round Rock, TX, July 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- HIREDTexas, a nonprofit organization which helps job seekers looking for career opportunities in Central Texas, has elected new board members and officers for the 2016-2017 fiscal year. The officers are: President Sunil Chitre, Vice President Gary Westerman, Secretary Betty Riggle, Treasurer Nancy Clayborne. This is the second year that Chitre has been elected as President to lead the organization. He had this to say, "With the low local unemployment rate, now is the time to address the needs of local businesses who still struggle to find the talent they need and start lifting the underemployed back to full use of their skills. At HIREDTexas we're developing new programs to do that. It will be an interesting challenge."
Newly elected board members include: Nancy Bishop, Sam Hawkins, Silvia Pendleton, and Eli Rodriguez. They will join current board members: Judy Anderson, Kevin Clowes, Terrence Marsh, Paul McKelvey, Richard Rogers, John Russell and Scott Wheeler.
The volunteer-led organization offers weekly meetings featuring expert speakers in job search and related fields. Job seekers can network with talented peers and learn valuable tips for career transition. Newcomers are shown available resources to improve their job search strategies.
Additionally, HIREDTexas offers a variety of learning opportunities to improve job skills with free classes in Microsoft Office Suite products. Small groups meet in forums focused on job search skills, networking, health and professional interests.
