Morehead, KY, July 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- DATA180 is proud to announce its membership in ORCID, a non-profit organization for academic researchers that aims to provide a solution to the problem of author ambiguity through the use of ORCID identifiers.
As a result of this membership, FACULTY180 users will be able to link their FACULTY180 faculty account to their ORCID identifier, and in turn import their scholarly activity data into FACULTY180 from ORCID. Faculty members and their associated institution must be a member of ORCID to enable this integration.
"Becoming an ORCID member and integrating with ORCID's API brings a lot of value to the faculty using FACULTY180. Initially, it will open up a very easy, seamless mechanism to help faculty members keep their published scholarly works up-to-date. Further down the road, it will allow them to better maintain and track their ORCID record," states Scott Wymer, Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder of DATA180.
"We are excited to see that DATA180 is using ORCID identifiers to streamline reporting workflows for faculty," says Laure Haak, Executive Director of ORCID.
