This surge in Austin’s baby boomer and senior population and the need for businesses and nonprofit organizations to address their specific needs and concerns prompted the formation of the Austin Senior Resource Alliance. The Alliance recognizes the importance of seniors helping others which inspired them to hold an annual Luncheon to honor outstanding Seniors in our community.
The luncheon will honor Seniors nominated by their senior living communities for outstanding service to their communities and peers. Jim Spencer, KXAN’s own Chief Meteorologist will serve as the special guest host and Emcee and will share some of the benefits he has learned through his own active volunteerism.
