Following the EtherCAT standard, the eBOX671-885-FL-ECM is verified for interoperability with the IntervalZero EtherCAT Master Solution with support for the IntervalZero Windows® real-time extension RTX with a separate real-time scheduler, which transformed the general-purpose Windows® operating system into a fully functional real-time operating system (RTOS) that runs on multi-core hardware. To provide impressive computing performance, the system supports LGA1150 socket 4th Generation Intel® Core™ or Celeron™ processor with the Intel® Q87 Express chipset. The eBOX671-885-FL-ECM also features four-channel Gigabit PoE ports, allowing for multiple cabling to cameras and any other PoE power device. With all of these advanced features, the eBOX671-885-FL-ECM is ideal for multi-camera imaging applications and as a controller for industrial automation, medical, military, test and measurement, aerospace, and many other industries.

The eBOX671-885-FL-ECM delivers deterministic time control to allow the Master Controller and slave device communication with a cycle time of 250 μs. To help integrating deterministic digital input/output (DIO) control in real-time motion control or robots, a RTX DIO driver is also available in the fanless embedded platform for monitoring sensors and controlling motion and other mission critical applications.
