Abstract
Health care providers and payers are investing in innovative solutions to keep pace with the rapid development in telehealth and meet the consumer demand for services that extend beyond traditional care settings. One recent study predicts that there will be an annual growth rate of more than 50% in the US telehealth market by 2018.
Telehealth aims to provide health care services anytime, anywhere, and on any type of device bypassing the inconvenience, travel time, and wait times for an in-person health care. It also provides similar flexibility to clinicians allowing them to provide direct patient care and consultations to other clinicians. Telehealth is especially valuable for geographically remote settings and urban settings with health professional shortages. It offers opportunities to improve health care, improve patient satisfaction and reduce costs, but achieving those results in a sustainable fashion requires careful program design.
In this 2-hour Live Webcast, a panel of key thought leaders organized by The Knowledge Group will provide strategies and solutions on designing telehealth-based programs to improve patient outcomes and lower costs. The speakers will also provide real-life stories of successful telehealth program design. Gain insight as they discuss the right approach to implement a successful telehealth platform in the aspects of governance, revenue, human resources and other key components.
Key topics include:
- Overview of the US Telehealth Market
- Challenges Unique to Telehealth
-- Reimbursement Issues
-- State Laws Compliance
-- Data Privacy and Security
- Key Components of a Successful Telehealth Platform
-- Governance
-- Revenue Model
-- Human Resources
-- Policies
-- Technology
- Strategies & Solutions for Providers and Payers
