Kids Adopt a Shelter Organzies 4th Annual Pet Adoption Fashion Show
Kids Adopt a Shelter (or K.A.S) announces their 4th Annual Pet Adoption Fashion Show to be held at Petco in Massapequa to fundraise for animal shelters and help get their pets adopted.
Massapequa, NY, July 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Kids Adopt a Shelter announced today the 4th Annual Pet Adoption Fashion show will be held on Saturday September 24th 2016 at Petco on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa from 10am-5pm. The event will include family-friendly recreation such as a local business vendor fair, dog agility and training, a Chinese auction and a 50/50 raffle. Vendor and sponsor spots are still available, please contact K.A.S. for more information. A community event publication called Macaroni Kid will host children’s activities. DJ Scott Becker will play music throughout the day, plus live music with The Kristina Rocco Band, Klueless Kunection Entertainment’s “Blue” from Blue’s Clues will be making a special appearance and so much more!

The Pet Adoption Fashion Show features rescues and shelters adoptable pets strutting their stuff in the “Take Me Home” fashion show, it will be held at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Participating shelters include: Hempstead Town Animal Shelter, Get A Bull, The Adoption Center, Last Chance Animal Rescue, Long Island Greyhound Rescue and more. There will also be an “I Love My Pet” runway walk which gives you the chance to show your pet off at 4pm. For the “I Love My Pet” runway walk registration and a $10 donation is required.
V.I.P. seating is available for $10 per person, or a free General Admission (standing) tickets are required for this event. The first 250 registered guests will receive a swag bag (one per family, please). The Pet Adoption Fashion Show is an event that was dreamt up by child actor, Sean Martin. His goal was and still is to showcase adoptable animals that are currently in the shelter waiting on their fur-ever homes. K.A.S’s Fashion show has assisted in finding home for over 60 animals in the past 3 years.
Kids Adopt a Shelter is an animal support organization founded in 2011 by now 16-year-old Sean Martin, and was created after he collected donations for a local shelter. He realized that other shelters needed help as well, and found that many other children and families shared his passion. Kids Adopt a Shelter is now represented by children and families worldwide. Kids Adopt a Shelter’s mission is “To make sure every shelter, rescue and foster can keep animals comfortable while waiting to be adopted, with the help of fellow kids.” Kids Adopt a Shelter’s efforts include other seasonal and emergency donation drives. Kids Adopt a Shelter is a 501(c)3 organization.
