On this talk radio show, it is the story that counts. Authors sound off on every possible topic, from cuisine to culture, and from nature to nurture.
The show also podcasts each interview separately, and all archived podcasts can be searched from the Sound Authors website at www.sounduauthors.com
The first author guest this week is Robert Williscroft, author of The Chicken Little Agenda. His commitment to uncovering scientific proof that the sky is not falling has included spending twenty-two months underwater, a year in the equatorial Pacific, three years in the Arctic ice pack, and a year at the geographic South Pole. Williscroft confronts the issues of today, including global warming, the ozone layer, and thermo-nuclear energy, with a level of detail impossible to achieve through television’s spin zone. By methodically revealing scientific evidence, he exposes the rationale of the doomsayers and further explores what he believes are the issues really endangering mankind: global terrorism, the crisis in education, the intrusion of big government, and the decline of morality.
The second guest featured on the show will be Marjorie Cohn, president of the National Lawyers Guild, news consultant for CBS News, and a legal analyst for Court TV. She is Co-author of the book Cameras in the Courtroom: Television and the Pursuit of Justice, and author of Cowboy Republic: Six Ways the Bush Gang Has Defied the Law. In addition, she has published numerous articles in such journals as Fordham Law Review and Virginia Journal of International Law, and lectures throughout the world on international human rights and U.S. foreign policy.
The third author guest will be Susan Smith Jones, Ph. D who for 30 years, she taught students, staff, and faculty at UCLA how to be healthy and fit. Susan has authored hundreds of magazine articles and 17 books, including her new releases BE HEALTHY~STAY BALANCED, HEALTH BLISS, and The Healing Power of NATURE FOODS: 50 Revitalizing Super Foods & Lifestyle Choices to Promote Vibrant Health. Internationally renowned as a holistic health consultant and motivational speaker, Susan has assisted thousands of people in becoming more aware of how their food and lifestyle choices affect their physical, mental and spiritual well being.
The musical guest for the show this week will be singer/songwriter Anais Mitchell. Mitchell started writing songs at age 17 and eventually started performing them live during her school days, which were punctuated by a remarkable amount of traveling. In a short period of time, Anaïs made several trips to the Middle East, and also spent time in Europe and Latin America, studying languages and world politics. This stunning, troubadour-like experience seeped into her music, and she became adept at fusing her passion for literature and journalism in her lyrics.
Tune in next week, January 25th to the live show or podcast to hear Dr. Paul Mullen, author of The Day I Hit A Home Run At Great American Ball Park. Dr. Mullen’s family tale reminds us why we love baseball, America’s greatest pastime, and what it is like living in a traditional Catholic household. He is currently touring the Midwest promoting health and family literacy and teaching students how to become more effective readers.
Sound Authors radio show each week is replete with authors from around the country and around the world, each telling their tales, from self-help to fiction, children’s books to thrillers, how-to books to corporate guidebooks.
