S&H: Sharing Shoes and Happiness to 3,000 World Vision Children
Quezon City, Philippines, July 27, 2016 --(PR.com)-- S&H and World Vision have partnered to provide children in Batangas and Cavite new shoes this school year. Many of the children received their very first pair through the partnership, while others were glad to replace their already worn-out footwear.
Children from Cavite were among the first to receive new shoes through S&H and World Vision's partnership. Joining the distribution were S&H sisters-cum-business partners, Sally Ang and Julie Ang-Felix, and S&H celebrity ambassador Cheska Kramer.
"The new shoes brought not only joy to the children, but a hope for a brighter future for them and their families. Having new and comfortable shoes inspires children to go to school. This also protects their feet, as many of them live in far-flung areas and have to walk long distances just to attend their classes," shares World Vision Director Jun Godornes.
One of the beneficiaries, 12-year old John, used to wear scavenged shoes repaired by his grandfather. "It’s my first time to receive new shoes and I am excited to use it for school,” he shares.
Launched in November 2015, the Christmas Soles campaign will give a pair of shoes to a child in need for every two pairs of shoes sold under the Team Kramer collection. To date, nearly 3,000 children from World Vision’s assisted communities in Batangas and Cavite have received new footwear. Both S&H and World Vision are dedicated to helping children, families, and communities in the Philippines, through strategic partnerships.
