Congregation Hosts Carnival to Support Families
The community event will be noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6.
Denver, CO, July 31, 2016 --(PR.com)-- All Saints Lutheran Church in Aurora, Colo., is organizing an afternoon of fun to help Family Promise of Greater Denver. The nonprofit serves families experiencing homelessness, and the church carnival’s proceeds will directly benefit those neighbors in need.
All Saints has held the carnival for six years, which features a dunk tank, Slip ‘N Slide, 10 carnival games, food and fun for the whole family.
“We’re honored to be connected to the incredible work All Saints Lutheran does in our community,” said Allie Card, executive director of Family Promise. “The congregation is actively driven by the spirit of giving back and not only provides Thanksgiving baskets and holiday cheer to families and individuals, but helps with blood drives, meals, emergency needs, school supplies and so much more throughout the year. Its members have a deep presence in the metro-Denver area.”
The church is also paying for guests of the Family Promise program to attend the carnival. Additionally, All Saints is in need of volunteers to help with games and inflatables.
The event will be at 15625 E. Iliff Ave.: Learn more about the afternoon and congregation: http://allsaintsnet.org/news.
