Moore Colson CPA Adds Former Big Four Assurance Partner and Southeast Real Estate Practice Leader to the Firm

Atlanta, GA, January 18, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Atlanta-based accounting firm, Moore Colson, recently announced the admission of Steve LaMontagne as partner-in-charge of its real estate practice. Prior to joining Moore Colson, Steve worked as Assurance Partner and Southeast Real Estate Practice Leader for KPMG, LLP. Moore Colson, founded in 1981, is a full-service accounting and consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia, providing tax, assurance, real estate, management consulting, estate and financial planning, and IT audit services.

Steve worked with KPMG, LLP since 1983 and offers 25 years of expertise with specialization in real estate accounting, reporting, and auditing. Steve became the leader of their Atlanta office real estate practice in 1997 and shortly thereafter became the Director of the Real Estate Practice for the entire Southeast. Steve’s experience includes serving clients in the following real estate industry segments: fund managers and advisors, REITs, property management, developers, construction, plus resort and hospitality companies. His experience is with both public and private companies and services include audit, tax, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence and other consulting services. Steve also served as a National Instructor with a specific focus on teaching emerging accounting issues impacting the real estate industry.

Steve is involved in several professional organizations including the National Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Georgia Society of CPA's, the National Association of Real Estate Companies, the National Association of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, The National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts and The Pension Real Estate Association.

Steve received his B.S. Degree from Florida State University where he graduated in 1983. Steve and his wife Elaine have two children, Nicole and Matthew. He is active at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, GA., where he is very involved in the men's ministry and he has led several mission trips to Mexico and Peru. Additional hobbies and interests include coaching youth sports, golf, tennis, triathlon competitions, running, weight-lifting, reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
