Peek a Boo Markers, a New Children’s Marker to Revolutionize the Industry
A new self-retractable marker that closes automatically when done using. No more dried out markers.
Naperville, IL, August 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- How many time have you gone to use a marker only to find out it has dried up because someone left the cap off? Well no longer will you have this problem again. Introducing the first and only self-retractable marker. The marker works by pushing up a slide when using the marker which automatically retracts when the marker is set down or dropped.
Mother, Teacher, and Creator, Kim Karlberg was tired of spending money on markers that dried up too quickly because the cap was not secured. “Either when I was in the classroom or at home it seemed every time I picked up a marker it was dried out because someone forgot to put the cap on,” explained Kim. “The final straw was when I spent $35 on dry erase markers for my kids dry erase wall and they were all dried out in 2 days.” Kim began designing and 3d printing prototypes until she came up with the working model. She quickly filed for a patent and build a kickstarter campaign.
The product can be found on Kickstarter at "peekaboo markers." (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1822990837/peek-a-boo-markers) cut and paste. “Hopefully this product will save parents hundreds of dollars on dried out markers, as well as a lot of aggravation,” said Kim. The simple design of an internal clamshell cap keeps the marker tip sealed when not in use. The ergonomically designed grip teaches children how to properly grip the marker. This marker will not only be great for children but also for highlighters, quick marks and dry erase boards. This product should eliminate the need for marker caps and keep markers good for a long time.
