World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation Partners with International Organization to Fight the Social Epidemic of Bullying
Los Angeles, CA, August 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation (formerly OTCBB: WWMO), distributors of the new specialty feature film, TIME FOR A CHAMPION, and Stop The Bully Now (http://stopthebully.ie), an international organization based in Ireland, have partnered on a global educational and media outreach program to combat bullying. This partnership is tied to the forthcoming release of the film, which depicts the impact of bullying on a Latina high school student.
“We are thrilled and honored that Stop the Bully Now Foundation has chosen ‘Time For A Champion’ to spearhead their new campaign to raise awareness of the pernicious effects of bullying on children and teenagers in schools and communities throughout the world,” stated Paul D. Hancock, President and CEO of World Wide.
“This is a unique film because it was produced by a school district, which has seen first-hand how bullying can transform the school environment into a painful experience for those students who are its targets and victims,” commented Pat Forde, founder of Stop The Bully Now.
“Time For A Champion” was produced by PSJA Southwest Film Society, a production company in the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Independent School District (PSJA ISD) in South Texas. The inspirational sports story portrays the efforts of a homeless Latina girl to overcome a background of neglect and poverty. Enrolled in high school by her new adoptive parents, she must then confront bullying in the classroom and on the athletic field. The screenplay was written by Barry Glasser, a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. Together he and former Univision executive, Sarvelio Carreon, produced and directed the film, which was staffed by more than 80 PSJA ISD students and faculty.
“We’ll be collaborating with Pat Forde and his associates to mount an aggressive program of screenings and media appearances designed to provoke thoughtful, comprehensive discussions amongst families, educators, and religious and civic leaders in a concerted effort to prevent bullying, one follower at a time,” Hancock noted.
Stop The Bully empowers people of all ages with the tools to effectively deal with bullying. It is the brainchild of one of Ireland’s leading anti-bullying experts, Pat Forde, who has helped thousands of school age students & families. Pat initially worked with bullying targets through his work as a Tang Soo Do Instructor and furthered this to adopt solutions & interventions to suit all people and not just those attending martial arts classes. Pat has worked with bullying targets, and young people prone to bullying behavior, families, schools, family services & youth organizations empowering them with the skills and knowledge to effectively deal with bullying situations & related social issues while also improving confidence, assertiveness, and self-esteem. He has been featured on RTÉ’s award-winning television series, “Bullyproof,” and is a regular contributor to media discussions in Ireland where his efforts have been focused. The group’s alliance with World Wide will now bring its work to a global audience as it expands its outreach.
