WOODONE and The Global Kendama Network (GLOKEN) hosted the world’s largest Kendama event in Hatsukaichi, Japan over the weekend of July 23rd and 24th. The Kendama World Cup (KWC) brings together players from across 15 countries to the birthplace of Kendama. With over 10,000 spectators and 375 competitors, the KWC is the highest ranking Kendama competition in the world.
Sweets Kendamas is pleased to announce the following wins of the team of players they sent to the 2016 KWC:
Main Competition
1st Place and Kendama World Champion - Bryson Lee, Mililani, Oahu, Hawaii
2nd Place - Lukas Funk, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Freestyle Competition
1st Place - Nick Gallagher, Snoqualmie, Washington
Other Sweets’ Team Members that placed in the top 32 Main Competition
12th Place - Nick Gallagher, Snoqualmie, Washington
15th Place - Zack Gallagher, Snoqualmie, Washington
21st Place - Parker Johnson, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Of the 10 USA competitors in the top 32, Sweets Kendamas held five positions. Congratulations to all the team members who cheered each other on to victory.
