Dartmouth, Canada, August 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The State of California has awarded a contract to Pantel International for the supply of integrated radio dispatch consoles, with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) as the primary customer. After an extensive procurement process, Pantel was the successful bidder for the CHP project, which will be implemented in multiple phases over the next several years.

“The California Highway Patrol provides vital services for the residents of California, and we are pleased to be given the opportunity to work with them to supply their next-generation console system,” said Chris Oldham, Vice President of Operations for Pantel. “Our philosophy of providing exact-fit solutions for our customers is tailor-made for a system such as CHP’s, given the distinct features they need to operate on a day to day basis.”

The California Highway Patrol’s console system will include Pantel’s InterTalk integrated voting and steering system, a customised user interface meeting CHP’s unique operations, and the ability to share and manage radio traffic between geographically dispersed dispatch sites across the State.

It is expected that the first installations for the new console system will take place in 2017.
