Berners-Schober Teams Up with Habitat for Humanity
“Build Day” provides local architecture firm with fulfilling volunteer opportunity.
Green Bay, WI, August 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, August 6th, a team of volunteers from Berners-Schober Associates, Inc. (BSA) partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Green Bay to participate in a Build Day on the northwest side. Alongside Habitat for Humanity employees, the team cut and installed gypsum board to complete the interior walls on a home for a local family in need. BSA volunteers were thrilled to be on the job site, putting architectural knowledge to use, enjoying each others comradery and giving back to a great cause.
Habitat for Humanity seeks to put faith into action by building homes, communities and hope. Their mission to provide simple, affordable housing to all is accomplished with the help of volunteers worldwide. BSA was honored to be a part of the effort to eliminate substandard housing locally by helping with the construction of this home. Time spent was a win-win, as employees were able to put some impressive construction know-how to use and collaborate outside of the office. From firm president to the newest hire, the BSA team worked together to help keep the project on schedule and ready for plasters to arrive the next week.
BSA is dedicated to shaping a better community through both their community centered approach to design and through their involvement with local charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity.
