Ignite Social Media’s Jim Tobin Speaks at Central Michigan PRSA Group

Cary, NC, January 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Jim Tobin, president of Ignite Social Media, was a featured speaker at last month’s meeting of the Central Michigan PRSA chapter. In his presentation in East Lansing, Tobin discussed how marketers and PR professionals can utilize social media to maximize their client’s communications success.

“With the emergence of social media as a corporate marketing tool, the importance is growing for marketers and PR professionals to fully understand what it is, why it’s different, and how to use it for their clients,” Tobin said. “Since I started in PR before starting Ignite as a social media agency, I felt like this meeting was a great chance to share practical tactics that could be put to use quickly.”

The December Central Michigan PRSA event ended up with over 60 members of the Public Relations Society of America in attendance. It took place at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing, MI.
