Upswing to Provide Asynchronous Online Tutoring with AskUp

Austin, TX, August 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Upswing is launching AskUp, an asynchronous online tutoring platform that gives students access to online tutors at any time of the day, seven days a week at no cost to them. AskUp will play a critical role in Upswing’s mission to provide colleges and universities with data-backed retention strategies and support academic learning centers for student retention.

AskUp is made possible after Upswing acquired AskOnline last year. This new product offers students an easy way to receive qualified support on assignments online without scheduling an face-to-face meeting. School tutors are able to self-select which assignments to work on, and school administrators are given complete oversight and real-time data over the entire process. Schools are able to use AskUp even if they do not use Upswing for synchronous online tutoring.

AskUp will help Upswing continue to serve 40 partnered colleges and universities, and now, students will be able to get help at times that work best for their varying studying preferences. AskUp’s innovative platform is bringing in new technology like administrative workgroups to select which tutors can work on which assignments, an interactive queue of assignments for tutors, and student feedback and comment selection. The Admin Dashboard will help staff track student progress over time. Upswing is dedicated to using technology to increase student academic performance, and has seen statistically significant results with 14% increase in student understanding and grades increasing by 15%-25%.

Schools can access AskUp in the start of the fall semester 2016.
