APICS Toledo Sponsors Leadership Improvement Seminar
Toledo, OH, January 19, 2008 --(PR.com)-- The APICS Toledo chapter will be holding a Professional Development Seminar titled “Improving Your Leadership Skills” on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. The seminar will be held at the Brandywine Country Club in Maumee and will be jointly sponsored with the Toledo Chapter of the American Society for Quality (ASQ).
This seminar, by design, will enhance the leadership skills of each participant. Emphasis will be on specific principles that strengthen self-confidence, as well as, our relationships. Value in professional attitudes will also be highlighted.
The seminar learning objectives are:
Explore our ability to melt down indifference.
To move compliance to willing, even enthusiastic, cooperation.
Handle resistance that wins others to our way of thinking
Mr John Adams, the Dale Carnegie franchisee for Northwest Ohio and Northern Indiana will be the presenter. John has extensive leadership development experience with local companies such as, General Motors, Daimler Chrysler, Davis Besse Nuclear Power Station, and the Dana Corporation.
Dale Carnegie is a global training and consulting organization. Dale Carnegie Training has contributed to the personal and professional lives of over seven million graduates with its time-spaced training programs. Program graduates are represented by a large number of successful business and world leaders.
Dale Carnegie helps their local client companies to develop their managers, build their teams, increase their sales, and satisfy their customers.
The cost is $30 for non-members, $25.00 for APICS, Toledo Chamber, and Maumee Chamber members and $15.00 for student members. This includes a dinner choice of baked stuff chicken breast or beef a la Bourguignonne with a non-alcoholic beverage. A cash bar will also be available.

The Toledo chapter has in excess of 340 members and is operated by local professional volunteers as a non-profit organization.
