Texas Trust’s Ginia Chapline Named HR Professional of Year by Cornerstone Credit Union League
Arlington, TX, August 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Ginia Chapline, Senior Vice President of Talent at Texas Trust Credit Union, has been named the 2016 HR Professional of the Year by the Cornerstone Credit Union League.
Chapline, who has been with Texas Trust since 2008, earned the honor for her many accomplishments at the credit union during her eight-year tenure. She received the award during the Cornerstone League’s August 8-10 HR Conference in Galveston.
The Cornerstone League’s HR Professional of the Year award recognizes outstanding achievements and contributions in the advancement of the field within the credit union movement. Nominees are evaluated on their accomplishments and performance, problem-solving abilities, professional development, and community contributions.
Chapline reduced the turnover rate for new hires by implementing innovative technology to ensure the right people are hired for each position. She also led an overhaul of the wellness program, which reduced the credit union’s health care expenses without affecting benefits, and she developed new training initiatives that led to the creation of the Center of Excellence, a development center that Texas Trust uses to fully train branch staff.
“Ginia Chapline truly represents the best in credit union management,” said Jim Minge, CEO of Texas Trust Credit Union. “She is a natural leader who is humble, kind, sincere, and a great mentor to all, even the executive team. I know that our employees will always be well served as long as Ginia is in charge.”
“I am passionate about human resources and improving the lives of our employees, said Ginia Chapline, Senior Vice President of Talent for Texas Trust Credit Union. “I am fortunate to lead a team of HR professionals that shares my passion. They make me look good.”
