Hon’ble Justice Dipak Misra Releases LexisNexis’s book "Shrimat Bhagwad Geeta (The Song Celestial): A Lawyers Perspective," Authored by Aruneshwar Gupta
New Delhi, India, August 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra, Judge, Supreme Court of India, launched LexisNexis’ book ‘Shrimat Bhagwad Geeta: The Song Celestial – A Lawyer's Perspective’ at India Habitat Centre on August 17, 2016, evening in presence of Mr. P.S. Narasimha, Additional Solicitor General of India and other eminent members from the bar and corporates.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dipak Misra, Judge, Supreme Court of India, said, “The translation of Bhagavad Gita in a comprehensively distinct manner is an extremely difficult task, for it is difficult to get the rhythm in prose. But I must delightedly admit that Shri Gupta has been successful in doing so. It is because the lawyer in him has kept in mind the saying of Justice Holmes, and also what has been stated in Brahaddevata (II.8), that while interpreting a text or a Mantra one should take into account the dictionary meaning, the context, the reason and also the time and place of occurrence as well as the propriety that is attached to the utterance.” He added, “For his work, the author deserves appreciation. His dedication, devotion and surrender to divinity manifest in the expression and I am sure, the third edition, like the earlier ones would gain acceptance and praise from all the sections of the society.”
Congratulating and applauding the author on his achievement, Additional Solicitor General of India, Mr. P.S. Narasimha said, “It is extraordinary to see the author to devote time to a subject like this, pen things on that and not leave it there but carry it on. I congratulate the author on bringing on the third edition of this book.” Mr. Aruneshwar Gupta, the author, has grown with the book and the book has also grown with him.” He also appreciated Chapter 12 – Bhakti Yog (Devotion and Surrender) and Chapter 13 - Kshetr Kshetragya Vibhaag Yog (Classification – Body and Embodied) of the book, quoting the same during his speech.
The author of the book, Mr. Aruneshwar Gupta, said, “As the world choicelessly continues to move from the third to the fourth to the fifth dimension and feels more closer to the existence of harmony in metaphysics, reading, understanding and assimilation of the simple but deep learning so beautifully expounded in Shrimat Bhagwad Geeta has more relevance and significance to mankind than ever. The book is an effort to provide easy, simple and correct material which makes its way into mind space, to enable perpetual enjoyment of the ecstasy and bliss of existence. The book is meant merely to induce and reinforce in the wise, the stimulus and vitality to persistently and precisely carry on their activities, leading to a perfectly harmonized social order and help every other individual to reach realization of Self as being in the nature of Braham.”
During the event, Mr. Sachin Tripathi, Marketing Manager, LexisNexis India-South Asia, said, “The author has done a great job in conveying the essential message of Bhagavad Gita in Shrimat Bhagwad Geeta (The Song Celestial) – A Lawyer's Perspective. This book also has a chart of ‘It – A Road Map’, an interpretation of first mantr of the first Sukt of first mandal of Rig Ved and 1 -9 mantr, an interpretation of Gaayatri Mantr, Kaal Gadna (Time Calculation), the lateral years of Shri Krishna’s existence and a detailed index of names and Sanskrit words not having corresponding English words to make the translation more understandable to the readers. It will be an enjoyable read, providing a better reflection on the Srimad Bhagavad-Gita.”
