Cedar Lake Cellars Hires Husband and Wife Chef Team
St. Louis duo bring extensive experience to winery.
St. Louis, MO, August 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Cedar Lake Cellars, a winery and event venue, recently hired Chef Aaron Lyons as its Executive Chef and Ashley Lyons as its Chef de Cuisine.
Aaron will oversee all kitchen staff while maximizing their productivity. He will ensure quality culinary dishes by modifying and creating new menus utilizing local clean ingredients. Aaron was the co-founder of a local private chef service where he designed personalized menus featuring a variety of options. He has served as a personal chef for many corporate executives and professional athletes including World Series and Super Bowl champions. He earned his A.A.S. degree in Culinary Arts from the Orlando Culinary Academy and is an ACF Certified Culinarian.
Ashley is the winery’s first liaison between the kitchen and customers. She will ensure that the dishes made by husband Aaron are prepared to perfection and exactly what the customers ordered. She will assist in menu creation, as well as oversee product and prep work. She will conduct the final examination of food prior to being sent out to guests. As co-founder of a local private chef service with Aaron, Ashley is a trained chef who has worked for world renowned and local chefs.
Aaron said the winery menus will “focus on upscale American cuisine with an influence from St. Louis’ French origins.” He added that both Ashley and he worked for James Beard award winning chef Hubert Keller, and they look forward to working with local farmers as they have in the past.

Cedar Lake Cellars is open year-round Fri. through Sun. from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. for those 21 and older with live music scheduled throughout the weekend. The restaurant seats 90 indoor and 120 patio diners with a wine bar that features 15 Cedar Lake Cellars wines, 3 Swans handcrafted wines from the West Coast, 25 wines of the world, craft and domestic beers, and signature wine slushies.
