Tikkun Travel Adds Leadership Division
Phoenix, AZ-based Tikkun Travel, which offers volunteer based experiences around the world, has launched Tikkun Leadership. This new division provides leadership training for young adults in pursuit of making the world a better place.
Phoenix, AZ, August 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Tikkun Travel has formed a new division, Tikkun Leadership, dedicated to teaching leadership skills and the tenets of global citizenship to youth around the world.
Among the workshops offered to nonprofits, NGOs, and educational institutions are: The Foundations of Leadership, Leadership in Action, Leadership & Technology, Leadership & Global Citizenship, and Women & Leadership.
"We firmly believe the stronger the leadership skills youth develop, the more powerful they can be in effecting change," said Eileen Brill Wagner, Co-Founder, with her husband, Michael.
"Based on our experiences, young people are looking for ways to improve their world--whether it's on a community, country or global level," added Michael. "They are looking for tools to help them be successful."
Last year Eileen and Michael left their jobs, sold their cars, and rented their house so they could travel the world and "give back" by volunteering. Eileen has worked with youth leaders for more than 30 years and has headed several nonprofits. Michael is a former technology sales executive with global companies with extensive training experience.
The formation of Tikkun Leadership was a "natural outgrowth" of their experiences over the past year, teaching leadership programs in Colombia, Peru, Vietnam, and China.
Fees for Tikkun Leadership workshops are on a sliding scale basis; a limited number of workshops are being offered free of charge to organizations facing financial hardship.
