Jason R. Marinelli, Esq. will be discussing the New Agency Laws. This is a core class and the law changes are going into effect on May 1, 2008. The new laws are designed to benefit and protect both real estate professionals and consumers. It simplifies the agency process and is eliminating sub agency and vicarious liability for the acts of cooperating brokers. Additionally, the Mandatory Real Estate Relationship Disclosure Form is being changed and there is new terminology that will become commonplace.

Richard Streitfeld, CPA will be providing timely tax advice for real estate professionals. He will be providing self employment tax information as well as sharing his expertise in maximizing the advantages of self-employment (home-office, travel, professional development, health insurance, retirement savings, disability and “shared expenses.”)

Who Should Attend?

Real Estate agents looking to fulfill their continuing education requirements. Prior to the renewal of any Broker’s or Salesperson’s License, 18 hours of real estate oriented educational sessions must be completed. Six hours must come from the core courses (of which Law of Agency is one.)

Self- Employed Real Estate Professionals looking for some tax advice and opportunities to learn about tax strategies before the April deadline.
