Houston Via Colori Celebrates "A Colorful World" with 11th Annual Street Painting Festival
The Houston Via Colori Street Painting Festival in downtown Houston is back for its 11th year Nov. 19-20, 2016. Witness more than 250 street chalk murals, live bands and performances on three stages, food, beverages and activities for the whole family. All proceeds from the festival benefit local nonprofit The Center for Hearing and Speech.
Houston, TX, August 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival, a fundraiser for local nonprofit The Center for Hearing and Speech, will liven up the streets of downtown Houston for its 11th year November 19th-20th, 2016.
Via Colori is one of Houston’s signature art festivals, attracting more than 30,000 annual visitors. More than 250 local and international artists create mind-blowing murals on the streets of Houston over the two-day event. Via Colori also features three stages of live music, a Family Zone with kids’ chalk games and food and beverage vendors.
Via Colori raises more than $400,000 annually to fund critical health and educational services for local children with hearing loss.
“The Center for Hearing and Speech relies on the generous support from our community to help children with hearing loss learn to listen, speak and read,” said Renée Davis, Executive Director of The Center for Hearing and Speech. “We are so grateful to our sponsors, artists, volunteers, entertainers and attendees for making Via Colori possible.”
A Colorful World:
This year, Via Colori will celebrate the beauty and diversity of different cultures by highlighting five world regions. The theme, “A Colorful World,” will be represented through art, entertainment, food and activities.
V.I.P. Lounge:
For attendees who want to enhance their festival experience, Via Colori will feature an exclusive V.I.P. Lounge. Lounge admission is $40 and includes complimentary food and drinks and admission into seven fun-filled mini-events within the Lounge.
Admission:
General admission is $7 leading up to Via Colori and $10 at the door. Children under 18 and students with a valid college ID will receive free admission. The ticket price is good for both days of the festival. There will also be promotions for discounted tickets leading up to Via Colori.
