Dine with the Stars
Three Michelin Starred Chefs come together to create a culinary extravaganza at the Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Estepona, Spain this September.
Estepona, Spain, August 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On the 7th and 8th of September, three renowned Michelin starred chefs will be cooking together at the 5* Kempinski Hotel Bahia Estepona. Jaume Puigdengolas from Skina, Diego Gallegos from Sollo and Mauricio Giovanini from Messina will create a sumptuous 12 course tasting menu, with each chef cooking four courses. The event will showcase the incredible culinary talent on the Costa del Sol and the amazing local produce of the region and each course will be paired with a wine to complete the gastronomic experience.
Dishes include Sea Urchin mi-cuit, chestnut and celery water, followed by Shredded Baby Malaga Goat with “gazpachuelo” soup from Messina, Fish Curry with Camote sweet potato and dried tomato ¨choricero¨ and Eel Kabayaki with potatoes and a tamarind béchamel from Sollo and Sisho leaf and Apple Tartar with a desert of Yuzu snow from Skina.
This promises to be a magical evening, beginning with a cocktail and canapés, followed by the incredible taster menu, where gastronomic experts explain each course as it is brought to the table. Each course will be expertly paired with a wine selected by the Kempinski’s award-winning sommelier and this gastronomic treat will be accompanied by live guitar music. To complete the experience, these acclaimed chefs will be doing a special Meet and Greet with guests during dessert.
There are two evenings to enjoy Dine with the Stars, Wednesday the 7th and Thursday the 8th of September and places are limited. Tickets cost 150€ + IVA per person and there is a special Dining with the Stars package available from 570€ + IVA for two people, including one night’s accommodation, two places at the Michelin star event and a buffet breakfast. The Chefs
Brazilian chef Diego Gallegos, known as the Caviar Chef, is reinventing traditional Andalusian cooking focusing on fresh water fish and caviar after his intensive work to help the recovery of the Andalusian sturgeon. He is an environmentalist using filmmaking and food to spread the message of sustainable gastronomy. Awarded a Michelin star, the “Chef Revelación” prize at Madrid Fusión 2015, and a Sol in the Repsol food guide for his restaurant Sollo, he is considered one of the most promising chefs in Europe. Sollo is located at the Doubletree by Hilton, Reserva Del Higuerón, Fuengirola and he also has a stall at the Merced Market in Malaga with Asian-Fusion food combining styles and tastes from Japan, Spain, Brazil and Peru called Arequipa. www.sollo.es
Spanish Chef Jaume Puigdengolas Rey has studied and worked in Michelin star kitchens for many years, including with three-star chef Santi Santamaria in Can Fabes and Dubai. In 2011 he became the Head Chef for the Marbella restaurant Skina, which received its first Michelin star in 2008 and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Jaume has an individual style which is centred around the best quality products and traditional Andalusian flavours, with a playful avante-garde approach which brings out the maximum flavour from every ingredient and every dish. Mauricio Giovanini won his first Michelin star for his Marbella restaurant Messina this year, after years of prizes and plaudits.
