Scientology Information Center Honors Workers for Labor Day

On Tuesday September 6th, members of the community are invited to a special Labor Day reception in recognition of Tampa Bay workers at the Scientology Information Center in Downtown Clearwater. The reception will include music and light refreshments in the Historic Bank of Clearwater Building from 6-8pm.

Clearwater, FL, August 26, 2016 --(PR.com)-- At this reception, the Center will be screening The Problems of Work film, based on the works of L. Ron Hubbard providing everyday solutions for dealing with stress, confusion and overwhelm in the workaday world.

“A workman is not just a workman. A laborer is not just a laborer. An office worker is not just an office worker. They are living, breathing, important pillars on which the entire structure of our civilization is erected. They are not cogs in a mighty machine. They are the machine itself,” wrote L. Ron Hubbard, Humanitarian and Founder of Scientology, in The Problems of Work.

Labor Day, the first Monday in September was established in 1884 as a national holiday, dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It is a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

“As corporations rely more and more on machines which build fantastic structures and figure out complex equations, they undermine the true value of the people behind the machines who design these machines and keep them going,” said Amber Skjelset, the Center’s Manager.

“The Scientology Information Center provides displays to answer questions about Scientology. It also is a community center where people from all religious backgrounds and beliefs come together to network,” added Mrs. Skjelset.

The Scientology Information center is located at 500 Cleveland Street. To learn more about this facility or to find out about upcoming events please contact Amber at 727-467-6966 or amber@cos.flag.org
