Country Supergroup Sterling Sylver to Play Orange County Komen Race for the Cure in September 2016

Newport Beach, CA, September 03, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Country supergroup Sterling Sylver will perform at Orange County Komen Race for the Cure on Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 7 a.m. The forthcoming event, which is expected to attract more than 20,000 participants, marks the fifth time the San Dimas-based band have entertained the crowds at the race, and showcases the group's ongoing support for charities in the local community. Sterling Sylver is thrilled to be a part of this year's race which happens to be the 25th anniversary for Komen OC Race for the Cure.
The Orange County Komen Race for the Cure takes place at 700 Newport Center Drive, Newport Beach, California, with the race site opening at 6.30 a.m. The event, which plans to raise $2 million for good causes, creates awareness for women with breast cancer in Orange County, a condition that affects 250,000 women in the United States every year. Local hotels The Fairmont Newport Beach, The Blvd Hotel, Super 8 Costa Mesa and The Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport have kindly agreed to sponsor the band so they can arrive at the event on time and show their support for such a worthwhile cause.
The race is expected to be one of the biggest events in the Orange County calendar, with a family run, kids one-mile fun run, and a 5K run and walk. During the event, Sterling Sylver will take to the stage, entertain the crowd and fill the streets with an intoxicating fusion of thigh-slapping', pulse-raising country and Southern rock, as well as classic country covers that will encourage participants to run/walk just that little bit further.
Sterling Sylver are no strangers to good causes. The country band played a charity event for Water Wells For Africa, a non-profit company that has supplied water wells to Malawi for 20 years. Other events they have played include the Ronald McDonald House Inaugural Car Show and HealthRight 360. The band is available for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, festivals and other special events.
