Dallas, TX, September 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Covalus LLC, a Dallas-based consulting firm, has announced the successful acquisition of Balfour Resource Group (BRG), a professional services unit of Balfour Beatty Construction, LLC. BRG was established in 1999 and has served clients in 34 states, Canada, Japan, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates. The transaction was a management buyout by three former Balfour Beatty executives. Covalus retained all contracts and staff of BRG and continues operations from the group’s existing offices in Nashville and Dallas.
Covalus was established in 2015 with offices in Houston and Denver. The firm provides program management and strategic advisory services for public and private building owners. “This strategic acquisition allows Covalus to provide clients value at any point in the project life cycle, delivering leadership from visioning phases through a building’s activation,” says Walt Massey, one of the founding partners of Covalus. Another founding partner, Edward Hernandez, added “We are building on a legacy of serving elite hospitals and academic medical centers, leveraging our group’s unique breadth and diverse backgrounds to offer clients a superior experience.”
The Covalus team offers clients and partners expertise in healthcare, higher education, research, office, hospitality, and mixed-use developments. “As high-performance and ‘intelligent’ buildings become commonplace, a project’s success depends on the integration of components such as furnishings, technology, and equipment. Unique expertise and industry-leading proprietary tools like EquipWare™ enhance Covalus’ project and construction management core competencies,” says Mark Chenoweth, a founding partner of Covalus.
