Reactful Raises $1.4m to Help Websites Convert Those Visitors That Normally Say "Maybe Later"
Company launches website optimization product for marketers, with private beta including industry-leading brands like Kimberly Clark, Phillips, Chegg and MongoDB.
Palo Alto, CA, September 06, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Reactful, a real-time web optimization platform for digital marketers, is announcing that it is exiting a successful private beta and launching its platform to the public. The company is also revealing a seed round of $1.4M, led by Inspiration Ventures, AOL Ventures, Shaked Ventures and Phi Square Holdings. The funding will be used to grow the Reactful team, accelerate product development, and support the customer base.
With the explosion of digital marketing, tracking has become standard, creating mountains of data that didn’t exist before. The problem for many marketing teams thus shifted from merely capturing it, to actually using the data properly and quickly to drive conversions and engagements.
“Data gives you power but only IF it’s actually utilized in a timely manner and accurately, and that’s a big IF which requires time, expertise and resources,” said Jonathan Friedman, Reactful’s CEO & co-founder. “We set out to build a product that lets marketers professionally and quickly execute changes that make real impact on their marketing efforts, not just track numbers and graphs.”
Reactful uses machine learning algorithms to automatically create useful “stories” out of the gathered site data. For example, it tracks clicks, scrolls and mouse movements to indicate whether the visitor is “idle” or “confused”, started to fill out a form and stopped or perhaps quit watching a video mid-way. Marketers can then create visual changes to the user experience - “Reactions” - that trigger at just the right time to keep visitors on track towards the site goals. Reactions such as a button shaking, an appearing tooltip with more information, or highlighting a section of the page are added to the arsenal continuously. Reactful also observes user patterns on the website and provides “Reaction Suggestions” to launch for various visitor scenarios based on best practices.
Marketers, desperate to compete with their peers, are launching more and more low quality pop-ups in an effort to capture more email opt-ins or social followers. However, these strategies take a toll on brand perception. Creating a trade-off of brand equity for short term gains. This has lead to the ugly phenomena of “confirm shaming” and to Google threatening to downrank websites using these tactics. Additionally, simple popup tools can slow down the site, create terrible user experiences and open your site up for security attacks.
“We were very impressed by Reactful’s ability to empower marketing teams to make tangible impact in revenue quickly and professionally, without having to manually crunch mountains of data,” said Gady Nemirovsky, General Partner at Inspiration Ventures.
Reactful introduced its private beta in January 2015 with industry-leading brands like UserTesting, Chegg, Accenture and MongoDB. The platform, now open to all companies interested in a new way to improve website conversion rates, consistently achieves a median conversion lift of 25 percent.
"Using Reactful allows us to react to users' behavior, guide them through the site and encourage them to take action (submit a form to watch a demo, take a product tour and more). Using "Form Leave" reactions we were able to increase Form Submits by over 20%!" - David Winterhalter, Centage Corporation
The company is growing quickly and is actively looking for additions to its team, led by Jonathan Friedman as CEO and Aaron Hakim as CTO. To learn more about Reactful and open positions, please contact: info@reactful.com or visit www.reactful.com
About Reactful
Reactful is a real-time website optimization platform that triggers reactions to visitor intent to turn more ‘maybe later’ visitors into engaged prospects and customers. We help convert visitors that are “on the fence” by understanding their “digital body language” such as "confusion", "hesitation", "interest", "form abandonment" and more, and reacting accordingly in real time. Reactions can be as subtle as shaking a button gently or attention grabbing such as folding an element in 3D. Reactful continuously analyzes your traffic and recommends best practice reactions to be launched with one click.
Reactful powers some of the largest Brands in the world such as Kimberly Clark & Coca Cola, as well as many innovative B2B customers across the US and the world. Based in Palo Alto, California with R&D in Tel Aviv, Israel.
