Annual Planning Retreat for Creatives Returns This Fall
Essential Edge Live, an intimate two-day conference, empowers artists for financial success in Raleigh, N.C.
Raleigh, NC, September 08, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The second year of Essential Edge Live, a powerful conference-style planning retreat for artists, visionaries and creative business owners will be held at Nash[1] Hall in downtown Raleigh, NC on October 27 & 28, 2016 from 9a.m.-5p.m.
The two-day retreat features presentations by leaders in marketing, mindfulness, business and creativity. Speakers include: brand consultant and Social Media Wing Manager founder, Joel Andrews; creative movement practitioner and founder of Conversing Fire, Catherine Howard; social entrepreneur, photographer and fashion truck owner, Emily Sexton and many others.
“Big Companies and nonprofits take advantage of annual retreats to plan the direction of their upcoming year. Self-employed artists can too,” says retreat founder Heather Allen, MBA. “We provide space, time, and facilitation for creative business owners to dream big about the impact they want to make in 2017, and support their vision with strategic planning and community.”
Attendees learn from the successes of other creative business owners and receive dedicated time for their own facilitated business planning - something not many creative solopreneurs get to enjoy due to the daily demands of managing a small business.
The inaugural retreat, held in 2015, attracted artists from the Triangle, and cities like New York and Toronto. "Last year, Essential Edge Live gave me the tools for professional growth. This year, I'm hoping to further foster that growth, share those tools with my partner, and reconnect with colleagues," says past attendee and painter, Dawn Rozzo.
