Momma Lynn Management (MLM) Announces Seattle Singer-Songwriter, Abby London, Has Joined the Momma Lynn Family of Companies
Seattle, WA, September 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Momma Lynn Management (MLM) announces Seattle Singer-Songwriter, Abby London has joined the Momma Lynn family of companies and will enter the studio in the Fall of 2016. MLM Founder and CEO, Michael Decker says that “We are very happy to bring Abby London into the Momma Lynn family of unique bands and artists. Abby’s music is eclectic and inspirational and we are excited to be working with her. We look forward to bringing Abby into the studio and introducing her music to the world."
Decker was introduced to Abby London at a downtown Seattle Music Industry Night being held at 88 Keys Dueling Piano and Sports Bar back in 2015. “We went to listen to several area Singer-Songwriters that evening and Abby really stood out from the others,” Decker said, “We were really impressed with the way she handled herself on stage and the crowd really loved her.”
Abby London’s music has the power to make you think, laugh and even shed a few tears with her melodic progressions and unique style. Her love songs are emotionally charged and her subject matter is relevant. She sings about time, electricity, social problems, nature, friendship, communication, freedom and money. Since before she can remember, London says she has been writing songs with some of her “earliest hits” accompanied by swing set choreography in the backyard of her childhood home in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She grew up taking piano and guitar lessons, and developed a sense of language and rhythm conducive to writing songs to house her metaphoric, yet shamelessly honest ideas. She stopped taking music lessons to allow her own natural sound to develop. She played a set of her own original music at age 16, coincidentally, or not, it was at a venue in Idaho called Little Seattle. Since that day, she launched her career and began performing along the West Coast, from Alaska to Los Angeles and would eventually travel the United States and end up in Seattle, Washington.
Her inspiration and influences come from the likes of Tori Amos, Ray Lamontagne, En Vogue, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Trina, Lil’ Kim, Talib Kweli and The Roots. She loves singing hip hop choruses and dabbles in rap tracks. A free spirited creative, she loves improvisational vocals and keyboard. In fact, it is rare that she will perform a song the same way twice, and sometimes changes the lyrics on the spot to fit her mood. Besides music, she is passionate about promoting sustainable housing through building Earthships.
