Scranton, PA, September 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- At the beginning of September 2016, multi-channel retail platform ChannelApe moved their central office from the Jessup Tek-Ridge center to downtown Scranton. ChannelApe has teamed up with the Scranton SBDC and the city Chamber of Commerce to host a ribbon-cutting celebrating this addition to the business community. The ribbon cutting took place on September 8th at the company’s office at 224 Wyoming Ave in Scranton. Attendees included co-founders Mike Averto and Jason DePietropaolo, mayor Bill Cartwright, Chamber of Commerce President Robert Durkin, representatives from Rep. Flynn’s, Rep. Cartwright’s and Sen. Casey’s offices, as well as various members of the Scranton SBDC.
“ChannelApe is a model for the kind of business we want to grow here in Lackawanna County – young creative entrepreneurs, with local roots, technology-based, nurtured in our TekRidge Incubator environment and graduating into a downtown location that will appeal to the young creative talent they will need to grow,” said Bob Durkin, president of The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce.
ChannelApe has developed a multichannel retail platform that helps online sellers grow their businesses through inventory automation and multichannel sales. This platform allows clients to upload several types of data feeds, expand inventory through drop shippers/suppliers and open up new sales channels like Shopify, Amazon and Walmart. The company has a diverse client base and a customer-focused philosophy. ChannelApe boasts relationships with suppliers and sellers including Amazon, Shopify, Europa Sports, SugarLips, OPSH, HeelBoy, D&H, Emerson Ecologics, Honest Green, Acusport, Creation Watches and more. Channel Ape can automate the distribution of tracking numbers from all of these suppliers out to Shopify buyers.
When asked about the ribbon-cutting, Channel Ape CSO Jason DePietropaolo stated, “We’re grateful to the Chamber and to the Small Business Development Center for their help in getting us up and running.”
