Rancho Penasquitos Town Council to Hold Wildfire & Disaster Preparedness Event on Sept 24, 2016, 9-11 Am

The City of San Diego’s Office of Homeland Security, in collaboration with the Rancho de los Peñasquitos Town Council and other local public safety departments and organizations, will host an emergency preparedness outreach event on September 24, 2016.

San Diego, CA, September 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Presentations and discussions will address how individuals, families, businesses, and communities can get informed and prepare themselves for all threats and hazards, with particular focus on wildfire preparedness. Specifically, there will be guidance and resources for general emergency preparedness, wildfire preparation and prevention activities, community evacuation protocols, and community emergency shelter processes. Also, emergency public information and warning processes and capabilities will be discussed, including the County-wide Alert San Diego system, the Emergency Alert System, and social media. Refreshments will be provided.
