Eldon’s Power System Chosen by Skarnes Elektro for Major Project in Østfold
Skarnes Elektro AS is a manufacturer of electrical switchgear, with over 50 years of experience in a number of major construction projects. For more than 20 years they rely on Eldon solutions for electric distribution.

Skarnes Elektro AS was awarded the contract for the supply of electrical panels for the construction of a new health trust based in Østfold, Norway. They supplied main boards, sub-distribution, power strips and outlet boxes to the new hospital.
The hospital will serve the entire county and replace several of today's local hospitals.
The building is approximately 82 500m2 and will emerge as one of the largest and most modern hospitals when it will be completed in 2016.
The new Østfold hospital will integrate a number of smaller hospitals into one big hospital that will cover the south east of Norway and that will be part of the strategic plan by the government to improve the Norwegian health care system.
The new hospital will be situated approximately 100 km southeast of Oslo. Originally the intention was to merge five existing hospitals and a psychiatric ward, but in its final design the hospital unites four hospitals and the psychiatric ward.
This was the first project that Eldon delivered with the Eldon Power System and in 2013 when the project started it was the biggest land based project delivered in Norway.

Eldon’s Solution
Eldon provides a complete solution with its Eldon Power System (EPS) developed for low voltage power and distribution assemblies. These solutions are tested and certified by independent laboratories.
For this project the company needed a solution for power and distribution and chose Eldon’s EPS system as the ideal switchgear for this type of installations.
Skarnes Elektro AS relied on Eldon’s EPS system for this project, and purchased more than 200 standard MCSL floor-standing enclosures and 200 MAS enclosures with air conditioning with different accessories. The MAS enclosures for this project were delivered in special size.
MAS – wall mounted, mild steel, single door enclosure – it is practical efficient and comes in a wide variety of sizes. The MAS range provides a solution to virtually every application and can be easily customized.
MCSL – floor standing, mild steel combinable version, single door enclosure – is the perfect solution for this kind of project, setting new standards when it comes to strength and ease of use.
