Sam’s Club RFID Compliance Package Released by epcSolutions
Guaranteed Compliance by Feb 1, complete Package for $895.
Great Falls, VA, January 22, 2008 --(PR.com)-- epcSolutions’ RFIDTagManager™, the leading Wal*Mart RFID out of the box solution platform with over 100 Wal*Mart supplier installations, is now available specifically to meet Sam’s Club RFID requirement. Chuck Williams, CTO, epcSolutions states “We have seen rapid adoption of our Sam’s Club RFID solution. We have added over a dozen new customers since Sam’s Club released their letter.”
According to a recent RFID Journal article, “Sam's Club Tells Suppliers to Tag or Pay” January 11th by Beth Bacheldor, Sam’s Club, which is owned and operated by Wal-Mart, sent letters dated Jan. 7, 2008, to all its suppliers stating that by Jan. 31, every pallet shipped to any of 22 distribution centers or directly to one of its store must be affixed with an EPC Gen 2 RFID tag. Any supplier failing to do so will be charged a service fee that starts at $2 per untagged pallet on Feb. 1 and caps at $3 on Jan. 1, 2009. The fee will cover the cost to Sam's Club of tagging the pallet itself.
RFIDTagManager for Sam’s Club, built on epcSolutions’ SensorOS, allows the ability for end users to meet current Sam’s Club RFID pallet tagging requirements, as well as, meeting the future case tagging requirement, with a simple out of the box solution requiring no additional software. RFIDTagManager for Sam’s Club includes a full SQL database, EPCIS and connectivity to all the RFID hardware.
RFIDTagManager for Sam’s Club is easily integrated with existing ERP and other back end systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards and others and is easily implemented within 24 hours.
“We are very pleased to add RFIDTagManager for Sam’s Club to our suite of products,” states Kevin Kail, CEO epcSolutions. “The solution supports all major Gen2 Printers and Readers including Zebra, Motorola, Printronix, Intermec, Datamax, Paxar, Omron, ThingMagic, Psion, Falcon and Sato.”
