Business Meetings, Travel & Technology Expo Co-Located with Meetings Technology Expo
2016 NYC Event for Travel and Meeting Professionals
New York, NY, September 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Corporate travel managers and meeting professionals will share insights and best practices, and learn from industry experts on topics impacting business travel and meetings.
The 12th Annual Meetings Technology Expo (MTE) will co-locate with the Business Meetings, Travel & Technology Expo (BMTTE), bringing together leaders in the fields of transient corporate travel, technology and meetings. The event will offer a comprehensive overview of how these groups work in tandem to yield the greatest financial and logistical efficiencies. The conference and expo will be held from September 22 – 23, 2016 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City.
“This year’s conference is particularly important,” said event founder Paul Paone, a corporate travel and meetings industry veteran. “Advances in travel and meetings technology are rapidly changing services for meetings and travelers. By harnessing volumes of data from mobile technologies, both end users and practitioners are benefiting from increased satisfaction levels, better costs and a flattening playing field for large and small organizations.”
The conference will cover the pursuit of business travel and meetings integration, drawing from areas such as ground transportation, mobile event technologies, expense management, traveler engagement, strategic meetings management, duty of care, housing, and attendee engagement. CMP and CAE continuing education credits will be awarded for session attendance.
Carlson Wagonlit Travel president and CEO Kurt Ekert will deliver the morning keynote speech about his view of the latest in travel and meetings management, tapping into his knowledge after twenty years as an executive in travel and travel technology. Steven Rambam, CEO of Pallorium Inc., will deliver the afternoon keynote speech covering the growing importance of cyber security and personal safety for corporate travelers and meeting attendees.
The event will feature a robust expo hall showcasing technology innovations including mobile apps for meetings and travel, video content and capture, and hotel and venue RFP technologies. Conventional travel services will include hotels, venues, destinations, ground transportation, transient work space, air travel and more.
Sponsors include Meetings.com, Lyft, Melia Hotels International, Poken, Carey International, Educational Measures, VisaHQ, Cievents, Flyte Tyme Worldwide, Millennium Hotels & Resorts, GroundLink, Event2Mobile and Presdo.
“BMTTE and MTE give planners and travel managers the opportunity to review and understand how advancements in technology can enhance their existing programs,” said Ross Hosking, president of Meetings.com, this year’s presenting sponsor. “We are excited to be part of the show as it serves travel managers and meeting professionals — two very important groups for our business.”
The show kicks off Thursday, Sept. 22 at the Javits Center with one-on-one appointments followed by an evening cocktail reception at the nearby Millennium Broadway. On Friday morning, Sept. 23, the conference will feature 20 seminars followed by afternoon tech demos and activities inside the expo hall filled with dozens of vendors.
Also speaking will be Kathy Kaden of Novartis, Kevin Iwamoto of Goldspring Consulting, and over 30 other veteran business travel and meeting managers including Amgen’s Craig Banikowski, Shelby LeMaire from iRobot and ITW’s Cathy Sharpe.
