Asheville Orthopaedic Associates Announces New Chief Administrative Officer
Asheville, NC, September 16, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Today Asheville Orthopaedic Associates (AOA) Orthopaedic practice, established in 1929, and an affiliate of Mission Health announces the appointment of their new Chief Administrative Officer (COA), Mr. Thomas Mooney, MBA. Tom will be responsible for the leadership and daily operations of AOA’s 6 locations across Western North Carolina, including Asheville, Arden, Clyde, Franklin, Marion and Spruce Pine.
Upon accepting the position of Chief Administrative Officer, Tom stated, “I am truly excited about the new challenges ahead. Asheville Ortho has some of the best and most respected orthopaedic surgeons in the country. Our relationship with Mission Health System, healthcare practices and local communities across Western North Carolina is crucial to building patient care at the very highest level.”
Bringing over 22 years of experience in executive management across a breadth of healthcare organizations, systems, university hospitals and group practices throughout numerous states. Mooney, born in Maryland recently moved to Asheville from South Florida with his wife, after accepting the position with Asheville Orthopaedic Associates. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business from Towson State University and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
