Ms. Rust is the President and CEO of Proparms Ltd., which is an international manufacturing and design firm which designs and provides equipment for first responders and the military, continually introducing many innovations to the world’s EOD/IEDD military and police markets. After obtaining a B.A. in English from Concordia University in 1975, Ms. Rust completed post graduate courses in Creative Writing and Art. She previously served as a Publicity Assistant with the London Evening Standard. She then became an Advertising Copywriter for Reitman’s and Holt Renfrew Department Stores in Quebec, Canada. She served as a Theatre Administrator and Administrative Assistant to Sheldon Kagan of Montreal Impressario. Overseeing the theatre properties and administration led to Ms. Rust co-founding with Elsener of Proparms Ltd, a supplier of theatre and film specialized, custom-designed weaponry and specialized properties and special effects. This encouraged Ms. Rust to design and build the first Neutrex Waterjet Disrupter for the Surete du Quebec, and for her to become involved in the marketing efforts of her in-house designed and manufactured, EOD/IEDD technology throughout North America and the world. Her marketing efforts have been supported and encouraged by the network of Canadian Embassies and Consulates. The company has expanded its operations to fulfill the needs of its growing U.S. clientele by opening a branch in the U.S. It is an ISO certified company with patented and trade mark products. Ms. Rust is married to Richard Story and they have five children. In her spare time she enjoys singing, painting, walking, reading and humanitarian causes.
