"Senior Wellness Expo" Provides Lake Travis ­Area Seniors with Valuable Information on Health and Happiness

Lakeway, TX, September 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Baby Boomers have always had an outsized presence compared with other generations, according to the Pew Research Center. This important segment of the population is living in the 21st century, an ever changing world with myriad advancements in health, lifestyle, and care, but to stay abreast of all of this information is a daunting job for these mostly retired seniors.

That is why Austin Senior Resource Alliance is happy to announce the 2016 “Lakeway Senior Wellness Expo.” Sponsored by Baylor Scott and White Medical Center, Lakeway, the Expo will give seniors and their families the opportunity to learn more about services and advancements that can make their lives easier and their bodies and minds healthier. The Expo will feature businesses and non-profits from the Austin area which serve the specific needs of the senior population as well as representatives from senior living communities.

A complimentary lunch starting at noon will be provided by Longhorn Village by a RSVP to 512-937-2772. Dr. Greg Morper will be speak at noon on “Small changes that can make big improvements in your health.” Next is Sarah Andrews speaking about strokes with Dr. Pavan Karnati speaking on heart and vascular disease. Lastly Stephanie Puente, a Certified Life Mastery Consultant, will discuss “Designing What’s Next! 3 tools for Building a Life You Love.” There will be door prizes and raffle drawings as well as health screenings and flu shots provided by Walgreens. Admission is free and there are a limited number of exhibitor booths available for rent.
