Kiddie Run Sponsored by The Gateway Family YMCA
The Gateway Family YMCA presents a Kiddie Run as part of the Union Township Chamber’s Sixth Annual Mayor’s Weekend Run.
Union, NJ, September 21, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Promoting healthy fun for all ages, The Gateway Family YMCA is sponsoring a Kids’ Run for grades K – 5 at the Cooke Memorial Football Field at the Union High School at 9:30 am on September 25, as part of the Union Township Chamber of Commerce’s Sixth Annual 5K Run/Walk. Registration for children begins at 7:30am, and the cost to participate is $7. Applicants may register that morning or online at www.unionchamber.com.
A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit a ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. “The Gateway Family YMCA is excited to support this local event and is excited for the opportunity to involve children in the day’s events, while supporting such a worthy cause,” stated Krystal R. Canady, CEO of The Gateway Family YMCA. The day will also feature a 5K Run, presented by the Union Chamber of Commerce. A host of YMCA staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to help with the activities. The YMCA encourages events that promote health and fitness throughout the community.
