Tech & Learning Hosts Summit Focused on Digital Equity
Baltimore, MD School CIO Summit to Address Critical Issues
New York, NY, September 19, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Edtech school leaders from around the country will gather at the School CIO Leadership Summit in Baltimore, MD on September 29 and 30 to address one of the most critical issues facing public education today - how to get every student both access to and understanding of how to use the Internet. The event, hosted by Tech & Learning magazine, will spend two days focusing on the conference theme “Bridging the Equity Gap with Innovative Connections” by sharing ideas about what works, and what doesn’t, in their districts.
“This is bigger that just an edtech issue - access to the Internet is becoming as important to students as electricity and indoor plumbing,” says Kevin Hogan, Content Director for Tech & Learning. “I am excited by this extraordinary group of edtech leaders and hope we can take all the big-picture theoretic solutions and mold them into practical solutions that districts can implement immediately into their day-to-day business.”
The School CIO Leadership Summit is an invitation-only event with 50 superintendents, CIOs, tech directors, and other district leaders from across the country attending. Each summit presents timely and relevant content from the most authoritative speakers and advisors. Speakers and discussions focus on K-12 leadership for tomorrow's schools and the impact of education technologies. Each Summit uses a combination of presentations and working sessions to focus on challenges and success stories related to technology-supported educational transformation. The editors of Tech & Learning magazine compile a summary report at the end of each summit.
Starting today through the dates of the event, Tech & Learning’s “Live @SchoolCIO Summit” social media hub will track the research, insights, and observations of participants as they prepare and attend the event.
