Velocys Says Start Up is in Sight for Oklahoma Gas to Liquids Fuel Plant
SMi's 19th annual Gas to Liquids conference will address project financing, marketing of GTL projects and innovative alternative applications of GTL plants.
London, United Kingdom, September 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Velocys has completed the construction phase of the ENVIA Energy GTL plant in Oklahoma City and early commissioning work is now underway. The ENVIA plant is based around Velocys' Gas to Liquids fuel technology, which enables the production of diesel, jet fuel, waxes and base oil from either natural or biomass gas. Once operational, it will serve an important role for Velocys as it will be a commercial reference point for the company’s technology.

Against this backdrop, SMi is proud to announce that Velocys will be sharing a timely case study at the 19th annual Gas to Liquids conference, taking place on 12th - 13th October 2016 in London, UK:
Project status of small scale GTL in the current economic climate
• Progress of the construction of Velocys’ commercial reference plant in Oklahoma City
• Results of testing programme demonstrating significant improvements in process intensification during 2015.
• Development of larger microchannel reactors with capacities in the range 350 – 1000 bpd
• Readiness for commercial operations: operating protocols
Neville Hargreaves, Business Development Director, Velocys
Using the real world example of the plant in Oklahoma City, SMi’s 19th annual Gas to Liquids conference will explore how GTL companies can build robust strategies to successfully develop projects in a low oil price environment.
SMi’s 19th annual Gas to Liquids conference will discuss how GTL companies can build robust strategies to work with the tumbling oil price and create effective alternative solutions that will enable them to reduce operating costs for a commercially viable project. The programme will have a special focus on small-scale GTL projects, giving you the chance to hear first-hand success stories from leading global GTL operators. The two-day event will provide the ideal platform to discuss with peers what companies need in place in order to overcome current challenges, with senior industry figures dissecting cutting edge topics on project financing, marketing of GTL projects and innovative alternative applications of GTL plants.
SMi’s 19th annual Gas to Liquids conference is recognised as the most established event in the GTL calendar and we look forward to sharing the latest industry developments with you.
